This wedding was absolutely wonderful. At the Minnesota Boat Club on a little island, we can’t say enough about it. When you work a wedding and the people involved are such great people, it’s just a GOOD day and that’s exactly what this was.  Shannon and Brian were cool to work with from the moment we met them for dinner and later at their engagement session.

To start, it was forecast to POUR that day. We are talking full blown thunderstorms with no hope of any reprise. We were preparing for a rainy day, when we woke up to absolutely zero rain. In fact, it didn’t start to rain until a few minutes after we left that night. Rather, the day was very windy and cool, but we were grateful for that.

We met for first look at Raspberry Island, after accidentally going to Harriet Island (take note if you are getting married at Raspberry Island – Google Maps doesn’t bring you to it) and worked our way all over the island doing couple photos. The wind couldn’t have made Shannon’s dress look anymore that amazing. If you’re getting married and it’s windy, don’t let it stress you out. It can make photos look incredible.

The rest of the day went so smoothly, despite the weather. Their families were all SO nice and all the vendors worked together so well. Like we say in nearly every post, the stress on your wedding day is truly what you make it. Shannon and Brian could have lost their minds over the idea of thunderstorms on their day, then later over the cold weather they actually did experience. But they didn’t. They simply enjoyed their day and because of that, so did everyone else.
