Snow Day Wedding: Amanda and Drew | Kellerman’s Event Center | White Bear Lake | Minnesota Wedding Photographer

Amanda and Drew were married on the first cold snow day of the fall. Waking up to thirty degrees in the middle of October is one of those variables you have to take into consideration when getting married in Minnesota. Regardless, Amanda and Drew made the best of it. We met the two of them when we shot their engagement session at their family farm.  It was a really fun, and still chilly, shoot. The day was absolutely beautiful and they were a fantastic couple to work with.  Check out the highlights below for parts of the day that we loved.  As much as the both of us dislike snow, we love utilizing it in photography.  The snow photo in this blog is a good example of why you should never worry if it rains or snows on your big day!  They actually thanked us after the day for pulling them out into the cold to get that snow photo.  That made us laugh because even though weddings can be a little crazy, taking that extra time to get some beautiful photos is really worth it if photography is really important to you.

Here is a review from the bride and groom:

“Kyle and Tracy were amazing to work with and we are so happy with how our photos turned out. They are both super laid back and really made us feel comfortable and have fun taking photos. Doing our engagement photos with them really helped too and gave us a better idea of what to expect on the wedding day. We would highly recommend!”

Highlights of the day:
  • Amanda’s veil flew out during the first look and nearly got stuck on the roof. Bear in mind the wind when you wear a veil. It was a great way to calm any nerves prior to first look.

  • Drew’s dad officiated. I always think that’s cool when you have someone you love officiate one of the most important days of your life.

  • They had a Polaroid guest book. All the guests took a Polaroid of themselves and signed their names next to their photo in the book.

  • The snow! It snowed for a short amount of time and we got an amazing snow photo for them – we’re very excited about it in that silly photographer way.
