I’m posting this mini session from the Minnesota State Fair today because it is so dreadful outside that there was a travel advisory put on the Twin Cities due to freezing rain. Due to this, I wanted to post something warm and fun. This shoot and this couple fit the bill. Plus, the cookies in the first photo look SO good…
Alisha and Dylan are just ridiculously fun. We are shooting their wedding photography in August and have now worked with them multiple times. They booked us two years out, so we’ve had good amount of time to get to know them. We started doing mini sessions at the Minnesota State Fair in 2019 because we love the look of photos there. It’s crazy busy and can be really hot and bright, but it has a unique energy to it. That energy can be seen in photography, which I find so cool. Most of the photos we take there are candids, following clients around as they enjoy the fair.
We met with these two and they barely needed any direction, much like their engagement session. The first photo was one of the first shots we got, as they purchased cookies and literally just shoved them in each others faces. It was so funny. It was also incredibly hot, so the chocolate went everywhere. Usually we don’t shoot photos of people eating because it usually doesn’t look all that good, but these fair photos are certainly the exception.
We will be doing these again in 2020, so if you are interested in them, feel free to let us know. They’re a lot of fun, budget friendly, and are a great way to document fun memories.
