Windy Wedding Day: Jessica and Jesse | Rush Creek Golf Club | Minnesota Wedding Photographer

Before anything else, we have to mention why this windy wedding day is so special to us and probably always will be.

Jessica and Jesse booked us during the stay at home order in 2020. Also know as the time we had no idea if we’d be able to keep our business afloat. Their booking gave us the hope we very much needed at that time. Like, real hope. It wasn’t just us saying, “Oh, it will get better.” It was actually people planning a wedding despite the crazy times.

So we have had lots of windy engagement sessions, but I would have to say this was one of our first extremely windy wedding days. To say it was windy was an understatement. There were 50+ mph winds wiping around the area. Other than that, BEAUTIFUL day. It was seventy for the first time in months and a nice cloudy day. But the wind kept us inside.

The weather throughout the day was pretty challenging. It poured down rain two or three times. This was to the point where if it stopped, we would have to all RUN outside for the mere minutes it would stay nice out. But it was all worth it.

Highlights of the day:

Jessica’s dress and overall look! Our brides are so beautiful!!!
The Star Wars cake.
The weather. Crazy weather may seem like a downer at weddings, but then it pulls out things like amazing sunsets.
Their puppy was at the wedding. He was so fluffy!
Jessica listened to all Disney music during the getting ready time. It was so fun.
We did hair photos for the groom for the first time because Jesse got his hair done too.
