We were super excited to shoot this University of Minnesota engagement photography. It’s not too often that couples suggest a spot to photograph their engagement photos. However, when we met with Emilie and Tyler, they knew they wanted to have University of Minnesota engagement photography. They had attended the school and wanted to make it a part of their photos.
I’m really glad they suggested it. We have photographed at the U before, but it’s been a while, and we never photographed there in the summer. It’s so beautiful. Plus, it was a nice cloudy day during this session, so the heat wasn’t too bad. Another thing about this session was how nervous the two of them were the day of. That’s so common. People worry about it all the time. Telling people to relax is a bit of an of an oxymoron at that point. So we just have fun with it. And the funny thing is that it took them all of about two minutes to relax. Because when it came down to it, they’re both just super fun people and were just laughing and having fun. It made for amazing candids and then the posed ones were easy too.
A fun follow up, we will also be doing a secondary photo session with them at the stadium. They played in band at the stadium multiple times, so they’re going to get stadium access for it. So we are certainly looking forward to that. And their wedding, of course.
