Barn weddings are SO popular in Minnesota! Granted, they are probably popular all over the Midwest and other areas. But people really love barn weddings here. We are two of those people. One of our favorite barns to photograph weddings at is Barn at Crocker’s Creek in Faribault, Minnesota. We have shot numerous weddings there and they are always so much fun.
Morgan and Jake were married at Barn at Crocker’s Creek this fall. I can’t believe their wedding is already done, as they booked us a year prior to the big day. In between that time was their engagement photography and tons of planning. One funny thing that happened during the day was the weather during the ceremony. Perhaps it isn’t so funny if you had to sit out there. Either way. The temperature dropped significantly when the ceremony started. There was wind and it was cold. As soon as they kissed and walked back down the aisle, the warmth came back to the day.
The day was a lot of fun. We knew it was going to be because the week prior, we didn’t have anything to really say about it in preparation. Normally we would go over any potential issue, big or small that may occur. But this wedding was one that we knew from the get go was going be easy and fun. Morgan and Jake were great to work with and their people at the wedding were just as wonderful.
Highlights of the day:
– They smoked the pork for dinner themselves. YUM.
– Champagne sprays! Plural! Those are our favorites now. They’re ridiculously fun. They did one with their wedding party too, which was so cool.
Thank you to the following vendors for helping make this day so great!
