You know what is amazing? A wedding on the water. That’s why Andrew and Jake’s Stillwater River Boats wedding was one of our favorites ever. That, and Andrew and Jake are just amazing.

On a very hot June day, these two embarked on an unforgettable journey aboard the Stillwater River Boats Majestic Star. Their entire wedding day unfolded on the water, defying the heat and the forecasted rain. With a playful spirit and unwavering love, the couple transformed their river boat wedding into a beautiful and remarkable celebration.

What started as a forecast predicting rain turned into a delightful surprise as the clouds dispersed, revealing clear blue skies. Nature seemed to celebrate alongside the couple, acknowledging the significance of their union. The absence of rain became a symbol of good fortune, reinforcing the belief that their love was destined for a sunny and joyous future. These Stillwater River Boats wedding days are so gorgeous.

Andrew and Jake originally booked us over the phone. We could tell when we first started talking to them that we wanted to work with them. It was just one of those times when you knew they were the perfect couple for us. It was so funny too because another couple wanted us for their date, but decided to go with another photographer. We were actually totally fine with that because we were just so excited to be working with Andrew and Jake.

We first met them in person on a much colder day. When we shot their engagement photos, it was cold. Not super cold, but not in the eighties like their wedding day. They are so much fun! Then on the day of their second consult, we literally talked to them for two hours after planning the day details. We just love working with them.

Highlights of the day:

The condo that they got ready in was INCREDIBLE! I just wanted to stay there all day.
Jake had a little lobster pin on his lapel. See “Friends” for that reference.
Even though it was really warm and bright, doing first look and family photos on the rooftop was amazing.
Their ceremony was super emotional.
Everyone waved little Pride flags during the ceremony.
You could just feel the love in the air all night. As cliche as it may sound, you could really tell how much everyone there loved them.
