Shooting Jordan and Jordyn’s wedding at Ahavah Cottage in Elysian, Minnesota was so exciting!
First off, the two of them are so much fun. They booked us this year and this wedding seemed to come up so fast. It’s actually the first of a three wedding weekend for us. The day made for a great start. We had never shot at Ahavah Cottage before and it was BEAUTIFUL!! It has a rustic elegance that we adore so much.
We met Jordan and Jordyn when they booked with us back in April. It had become commonplace in 2023 for us to book weddings five months out. It became a magic number for us for so long. That has since changed. Their engagement session was so much fun. You can really tell when you are around them how much they love each other. Just the way they look at each other is so sweet. They are also the type of people that make our job really easy because they are very animated in front of the camera. And they are so nice that it’s just a pleasure to get to work with them.
This was simply just a perfect day. The venue was amazing. The couple was SO good to work with. They are both such nice people and their party and guests were just as nice. It’s wonderful when you get to work with those kind of people because that is just how it should be. A wedding is a celebration and there shouldn’t be stress and negativity. It should be fun.
Review from the Couple (see it on Google):
“My wife and I were nervous about almost every single detail come wedding day. From arrival times of people and vendors, to having to come up with a new place to put cupcakes because the fridge ended up being too small. The one detail we didn’t have to worry about? – capturing our big day.
From beginning to end, Kyle and Tracy helped guide us… Prior to the wedding, we were able to spend time getting to know them, as friends. We talked about the most common mistakes people made, recommendations that they have seen work best and answered any and all questions. On the wedding day, they were there keeping the wheels moving, even if a wheel had fallen off 🙂
Now to the photos; they were GORGEOUS. We can’t get enough of them. They captured us, our family, beautiful candid’s of our guests. Worried about capturing blissful moments such as the first look, first kiss? – with Kyle and Tracy, don’t be.
To make this decision making process easy for you, pick RKH Images. We have no regrets and neither will you.”
Highlights of the day:
- Their names were the same. I had to say it. How could I not?
- Jordyn’s dress! I’m loving the dresses this year.
- They had a friend do their videography. She had not shot a wedding before and was so awesome.
- When we did sunset photos, Jordyn didn’t have her shoes. Jordan just picked her up and ran her across the parking lot.
- Since the whole wedding party loves the gym, Jordyn insisted they do the “gym rat” photo of them all flexing. Love it.
