Edina Family Photography

We have shot Edina family photography before.  It is usually done at this park, Centennial Lakes.  It’s a great place for photography in general.  Being in the middle of a city, people often don’t realize how versatile it is.  We often show photos of it to people and they don’t even realize it’s in the city.  So we were excited to shoot here again.  For whatever reason, it was a very popular choice of locations for a lot of our 2023 clients.

We know this family having shot the mom’s sister’s wedding years ago.  That particular couple is one that we have stayed in contact with all these years later.  So it was really cool to get to shoot these photos.

When it comes to kids, the timetable can be a little different than our usual one.  Nap times come into play a lot.  Because of that, this session was in the earlier morning.  We don’t have a problem with that, as there is often a lot more availability overall in the mornings.  Plus, it gets us out of bed. It was a pretty chilly morning, so there weren’t too many people there. That was pretty nice because it makes it easier to shoot quickly with children.  There’s no having to wait for people walking in the background to be out of the shot.  Ah, public places…

As you can see, it had rained a bit prior to the session.  It really made those fall colors pop and we loved how they turned out.  We can’t wait to work with this family again!
