This was a really fun session. As you can see, it was shot at Shakopee High School. Akshay plays football at Shakopee High School, so he wanted to take advantage of the location.

This was one of our last senior sessions of the year.  This has been our biggest year for senior photography.  It’s been really amazing getting to photograph all these awesome seniors.  As we have stated in other posts, we really love when kids have items that are specific to them.  In this case, Akshay had all his football gear.  It made for one of our favorite senior photography shoots to date.

The day of this session was when it was becoming cold in October.  You wouldn’t know it looking at these photos because the Minnesota sun lies to us at times.  We were really worried that it would snow, but luckily it didn’t until a few days later.

I also am throwing this in there for all the photographers reading this.  We use off camera flash a lot in our photography.  However, we had never used it with senior photography.  We took the time to use it at this session and are SO happy with the results.  It was very sunny out (as you can see) and the flash balanced it so well.  So there’s your little camera technical PSA for the day.
