Candid Sunset Family Photos

This is another family we work with all the time.  So these candid sunset family photos were nothing new to them.

We photographed Mia and Carlos’ wedding back in 2018.  Since then, we have done maternity photos and newborn photos for all their kids.  We also have shot multiple family sessions with them.  They also live not too far from us, so whenever we drive by their house, we wave.  Not sure if they know that or not.

So we are always happy to hear from them.  Mia always has ideas as to what she wants for photos and always comes with inspiration.  Some photographers aren’t fans of that, but we love it.  We are huge fans of getting what our clients want and if they full blown bring us photos of what they want, we are more than happy to photograph it.  One major issue with this session – it was brutally hot and humid.  Seriously, it was ROUGH.  These photos look so golden and beautiful, but man, the weather was just not cooperating.  And we know as adults how hard that is.  Now throw three little kids into that mix and see how long you last.

We ended up getting a lot more candid photos of the kids because they are at that age where they just want to run around.  Not the little one – he was cool hanging out with his dad all evening.  But the other two got some of the cutest candids, especially near the end of the shoot.  We’re pretty sure that’s because they knew they were going to be done doing photos, so they were all excited about it.

We can’t wait to work with them again.  They are such fun people with a lovely family. a
