Grain Belt Engagement Photography
This was not our first Grain Belt engagement photography session. We have done others with the Grain Belt sign in the background. However, this one was really much more than that. As you will see below.
To begin with, this session was rescheduled THREE times. The first time, the weather dropped below zero. The second time, it was down pouring. And not that pretty rain either. The kind that soaks hair and ruins cameras. Then, the two of them had an event they had forgotten about. When this date rolled around, it was supposed to pour rain all day. But all of us said, we don’t care, we’re shooting it. And it didn’t rain!
We actually had never met Alex and Laura. They called us on the phone and booked the same day. So what with that and all the reschedules, we were kind of like, we will see how this goes. They texted me that morning and were like, “We are going casual with this.” Okay, sweet, love it. We had done a wedding in the same location the night prior that was ten hours long. This engagement session was at 11am. When you do a ten hour wedding, 11am the next day feels like 6am. Needless to say, Laura and Alex made this REALLY easy and we are grateful for that.
Anyway, back to Grain Belt. A few months back, they contacted me and asked if they could shotgun beers at their session. Believe or not, we have done this at a session before. We love when people do stuff like that. It’s so fun. So we did photos in Saint Anthony Main, jumped in their Jeep and went over to the bridge. We waited until all the people went by and then did the photos. It was so funny. The photos really speak for themselves.
After doing this session, we cannot wait for their wedding this fall.
