Erika and Bryan were married in a ceremony at Church of the Risen Savior on a windy May afternoon.
This was a smaller wedding, with forty guests and a full Catholic ceremony. Unbeknownst to many, we do several smaller weddings a year. Originally, we “met” Erika and Bryan on the phone. We didn’t meet them in person until two weeks before the wedding. They are such sweet people and were lovely to work with.
In the two hours we had with them, we shot their first look, couples and family photos, then the ceremony. It was so quick! Honestly, doing smaller weddings can be such a breath of fresh air. We get up, get to hang out with great people, do awesome photos, and have the rest of the day to ourselves. Also, this church was about ten minutes from our house. Any wedding vendor will tell you having the wedding setting nearby is the best.
Here’s some standout things of the day. Erika sang a song to Bryan during their ceremony. And she can sing. I had no idea what her singing voice sounded like and it was so beautiful. Also, part of the mass was done in Spanish. If you have never heard a mass done in any Latin language, it’s worth checking out. I have heard a lot of them in Latin and it’s just so beautiful.
For being a smaller day for us, it was extremely enjoyable. Erika and Bryan and their loved ones are all great people and working with them was a true joy.
