Hollywood Theater Wedding
This is our first Hollywood Theater wedding and we were so excited!
We saw this venue on the news a few months before Emma and Blake contacted us. So when we first talked to them, we were really excited about it. All of us are total geeks about films, so we had a lot to talk about. They booked with us and we were on our way!
The evening of their engagement session was COLD. It was one of those fall evenings, so we didn’t fully see it coming. We had a lot of fun though, shooting around the Guthrie Theater area of Minneapolis. We knew they were going to be wonderful to work with come the wedding.
This was one of those days where their wedding attire matched the venue. To those that don’t go to a ton of weddings, you may not get what I mean. But everything was so Old Hollywood. Emma’s dress was amazing and the guys were all dressed in the traditional black suits. The bridesmaids had absolutely beautiful dresses, all different. Then the guests! We felt so underdressed. The guests show up and it was like the Great Gatsby. They were all so fashionable. There also was one of the groomsmen carrying around a Super 8 all day. It was cool because it totally fit in with the whole theme of the day.
Highlights of the day:
- The whole day was themed around films and the theater. We are total movie nerds, so we loved it.
- For their first look, they did a paparazzi style scene to fit the theme. Emma got out of a limo and walked the red carpet to Blake with us all taking photos. Then the bridesmaids all got out to see him too. It was so fun.
- They had posters made that they put in the front of the theater.
- Popcorn machine!
- Emma’s dress mixed with her gloves and choker were so gorgeous.
- Their cake was enormous!
