I don’t know if I just simply made up the term musical senior photos for this post or if it’s always been a thing. Either way, I like it. Why? I think it’s super cool when seniors incorporate their musical instruments into photography. That is probably because Kyle and I work so much with the music industry and love music so much. Kyle can play guitar and bass and I play piano, so it’s always been in our lives. We love music. Needless to say, this was a cool session.
To begin, we shot these musical senior photos in Minneapolis in the Mill City Ruins. Not only on the street, but as you can see, we also went down into the ruins. It can be a lot of up and down going down into the ruins, but it’s always worth it. Michael brought his saxophone! I love the saxophone. I have always very much enjoyed the sound of it. Kyle says all women like the saxophone, which is why so many guys play it, lol. All that aside, it looks COOL in photos. City and the saxophone? Come on, that’s awesome…
Michael also knew how to dress for these shots. His final outfit matched these fall colors so well. Just love a good old color coordination.
We are very much looking forward to shooting more senior photo shoots. They are starting to pick up considerably for us than they have over our earlier years. It’s really fun getting to photograph pivotal moments in life and these photos certainly capture that.
