Okay, this shoot was AWESOME!

So far, Samantha and Trent are the only ones that have taken us up on the idea of doing an engagement shoot at sunrise.  Yes, I know it sounds crazy, but read this and you may change your mind.

We planned this shoot out and, of course, it looked like it was going to rain.  It poured days prior and we were sure we would get rain and no good sunrise color.  Well, we lucked out.  We met at 5:30am to start this shoot and I can tell you, it was one of the calmest, most productive ones we have ever done.

During sunrise, you get these amazing colors that you don’t get during any other time of the day.  If you look at the photos below, you will see how much those changed over the course of any hour and what an amazing variety you get.  When you shoot that early in the morning, odds are that not a lot of people are going to be out and it’s going to be a lot calmer.  That’s a huge plus if you are working with clients for the first time, as you just want things to be as calm as possible.

Samantha and Trent were just wonderful to work with and total troopers for getting up so early to do this.  Much like the two of them planning to crash when they got home, we did the same, got up later and went to brunch, having shot an amazing session before the rest of the world was up and moving around.
