Okay, this shoot was AWESOME! If there is one thing I have learned over the years, it is that sunrise engagement session is amazing.
As of then, Samantha and Trent were the only ones that have taken us up on the idea of doing a sunrise engagement session. Since then, we have done a bunch of them. There are so many reasons that sunrise is an amazing time to do photos.
- The light is PERFECT.
- No one else is out except joggers and dog walkers. You get highly desired spots all to yourself.
- You get up and do something with your day instead of sleeping in.
We planned this shoot out. Samantha really wanted a pretty sky for the engagement photos. Because, who doesn’t? When they got out of their car, Samantha goes, “Well, if we don’t get good light, we could always do it another time.” As Trent just goes, “We’re doing this now.” I couldn’t help but laugh because I totally got it. It was 5:30am. They got up much earlier to get all dressed up nice and actually wake up. He wasn’t about to do that again.
The two were lovely to work with. The park was pretty much silent at sunrise. So if we weren’t all comfortable with each other, it was going to get weird. That was not the case. Instead, we just had a ton of fun.  We knew after doing their engagement photos that their wedding was going to be awesome.
Update: it’s been four years since their wonderful wedding day. We actually still have their Save the Date magnet on our fridge. We absolutely loved working with them and their families. It was just a perfect day. Despite the fact that it rained. Seriously, if you’re worried about a rainy wedding day, check out their day.
