Minnesota Golf Club Wedding Venues: Five of Our Favorites

Golf course wedding venues are an incredibly popular type of venue.  They can often be also searched as country club venues, but that all depends on the venue itself.  Golf course wedding venues are some of the most popular amongst our clients.  We enjoy shooting at them because they all have a similar feel.  Even if we haven’t shot at a particular one, we always have a feeling of what we are walking into, which is nice.  This post will let you know of some of our favorite golf courses and country club wedding venues in the state of Minnesota.

1. Hastings Golf Club

Hastings, Minnesota

We shot at Hastings Golf Club for the first time last year and were amazed.  It has perhaps the most beautiful dining area we have ever seen.  With large windows overlooking the course, it is a room that just makes you fall in love with the place.  We love the ceremony spot.  It’s at the bottom of a GIANT hill, so it’s like you’re out in the middle of nowhere getting married.  They also have this adorable bridge where people love to do first looks.

2. Rush Creek Golf Club

Maple Grove, Minnesota

The exterior of Rush Creek Golf Club is absolutely beautiful.  You see it and are so excited to go in.  There are some really great spots for photography here, including the little stone bridge behind the building (my favorite).  The dining room is spacious and well lit.  When we photographed a wedding there, it was super windy outside, so the ceremony had to be moved inside.  Many dread moving to an indoor ceremony, but the spot they have is perfect for a rainy day.

3. Minneapolis Golf Club

Saint Louis Park, Minnesota

Okay, so to be fair, we have only been here when we have had limited time to be outside.  Why?  We shot an October wedding there, but it decided to snow that day.  So the outdoor photos are a mix of winter and fall with a couple that braved the cold for those shots.  We are photographing a wedding there in January 2023, so I imagine we won’t be outside TOO much then either. Still, the interior is absolutely beautiful.  The venue has a real classic look to it with the gold and white color scheme.

4. Oak Glen Golf Course

Stillwater, Minnesota

I really like this venue, as we have shot there numerous times, including when there was several feet of snow on the ground.  It’s a gorgeous venue, inside and out.  This is one of the only golf courses where we have had a lot of freedom in where we shoot. It can be tough on golf courses because you absolutely want to be respectful of the people paying to play golf.  Sometimes your area to photograph outside is extremely limited. However, as long as you’re respectful and follow the rules of the course, you have a lot of variety to work with here.  Also, the outdoor ceremony space is AWESOME.

5. Olympic Hills Golf Course

Eden Praire, Minnesota

We absolutely love this venue.  First, it’s really easy to access from the cities or suburbs.  The ceremony spot is gorgeous, seated in front of a small pond.  The team that works there is really great to work with.  That’s one takeaway we have as vendors, but have heard it from couples as well.  This is yet another golf club that has a gorgeous dining area.  Not only that, but the cocktail hour area outside is great.  They have fire pits that make for such a relaxing vibe after dinner too.  Highlight – if you have a winter wedding, you can utilize an ice rink there.  That’s awesome!!
